Marrying a pleasant, brisk service with a tasty house menu and spectacular daily specials at very reasonable prices, Padthai@Shine’s mission is to have customers coming for the food and service, then staying for the music and ambience.
Value for money has been conspicuously absent from most ethnic restaurants in recent times - for what is generally native peasant food - but at Padthai@Shine everything on the lunch menu will be under €10 and no dish will be over €12 on the evening menu.
Our head chef has been flown in from the 5 star Amari Boulevard Hotel in Bangkok where he became famous for his Royal – Saway – cuisine, but like any cook from the Isaan province in Northern Thailand, he has been marinated in the culture of their unique northern cuisine and is more than qualified to prepare real Thai food. Street food. Anytime is a time to eat food.
In these straightened times, this is, let’s face it, peasant food for Ireland’s new peasant class. Didn’t John Lennon have something to say about us all being peasants!! This is a great non-pretentious choice for lunch or evening meals, a funky place to eat, quality Thai food, music, cocktails in a chic, cosy and vibrant atmosphere.
